Convection and Radiant Heating. How does it work?

Convection heating is a method where heat is transferred through the movement of air in the room. The convection process relies on the natural flow of warm and cold air, leading to an even distribution of heat throughout the space.

A heat source, such as a convection heater, warms the air around it. The air becomes lighter and begins to rise (the convection phenomenon). Cooler air from the surroundings then flows in to take its place, which is subsequently heated. As a result of this movement, heat spreads throughout the room.

The radiant heating method, on the other hand, relies on the use of thermal radiation (infrared). Unlike traditional convection heaters that warm the air in the room, a radiant heater transfers thermal energy directly to objects, people, and surfaces within its range.
