Revopoint POP 4 3D Scanner – Standard Version

The Revopoint POP 4 is an advanced 3D scanner designed for both handheld and desktop use, featuring three data capture technologies: blue multi-line laser, full-field infrared structured light, and VCSEL projection. The device offers accuracy up to 0.03 mm in laser mode, RGB color scanning, real-time AI segmentation, and support for Gaussian Splatting models. With support for objects ranging from 10 × 10 × 10 mm to 2 × 2 × 2 m, Wi-Fi 6 and USB-C connectivity, and compatibility with Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS, the POP 4 is ideal for product design, reverse engineering, quality control, object digitization, and preparing models for 3D printing.

High accuracy for demanding applications

The POP 4 is designed for users who require high-precision geometric mapping. In multi-line laser mode, the device achieves a single-measurement accuracy of up to 0.03 mm, allowing for the capture of fine details in mechanical parts, technical models, or industrial components. A point cloud density of up to 0.05 mm enables the creation of detailed models ready for further processing in CAD software or for 3D printing. Volumetric accuracy of 0.03 mm + 0.05 mm × L(m) is available exclusively when operating in laser modes, which is worth considering for applications requiring the highest dimensional precision.

Three scanning technologies tailored to different projects

The scanner utilizes three independent data capture technologies, allowing you to select the appropriate mode for the type of object. The multi-line laser mode with 30 crosshairs is designed for scanning technical components and surfaces requiring high accuracy. Full-Field HD, which uses infrared structured light, allows for convenient scanning of faces, figures, and objects without the need for markers. VCSEL mode has been optimized for larger objects and fieldwork, enabling fast data capture from a greater distance.

Photorealistic models thanks to Gaussian Splatting technology

One of the most important distinguishing features of the POP 4 is its support for Gaussian Splatting technology. Unlike traditional models based solely on meshes, this solution allows you to create photorealistic 3D objects with very high visual quality. The technology more accurately replicates how light interacts with material surfaces, resulting in better rendering of reflections, translucency, hair, fabrics, and complex textures. Finished models can be exported in SPLAT format and used in VR, AR, animation, product visualization, and digital media projects.

Real-Time AI Segmentation

POP 4 is equipped with Real-Time AI Segmentation, which automatically analyzes the scanned scene during operation. AI algorithms recognize the object and immediately remove the background, work surface, and other unnecessary elements of the environment. The system can also detect hands holding the scanned object and remove them from the model without additional user intervention. This results in significantly cleaner models already at the scanning stage, reducing the time needed for post-processing.

Fast scanning and smooth object tracking

Depending on the selected mode, the POP 4 can capture between 15 and up to 105 frames per second. Laser mode allows for the capture of up to 2 million points per second, ensuring high accuracy while maintaining smooth operation. In Full-Field mode, the number of captured points increases to as many as 5 million points per second, accelerating the digitization of larger objects. These parameters facilitate the scanning of both small details and more complex structures.

Scanning Dark and Shiny Surfaces

The advanced laser projection system effectively captures many surfaces that traditionally pose challenges during 3D scanning. The POP 4 handles dark objects, mechanical parts, and many shiny materials well without the need for a matte spray. For transparent or highly reflective surfaces, the manufacturer still recommends using a dedicated scanning spray to achieve the best results.

Indoor and Outdoor Use

The scanner allows for outdoor use in light intensities of up to 100,000 lux. The VCSEL mode is designed to effectively minimize the impact of ambient light on the scanning process, enabling operation even in strong sunlight. However, please note that the stated resistance applies to a maximum of 100,000 lux; therefore, it should not be interpreted as operation under absolutely all lighting conditions. Additionally, when using the optional Outdoor Blue Filter, it is possible to perform detailed laser scans even in very bright environments.

Flexible working range

The POP 4 allows you to adjust the working distance to suit the task at hand. In multi-line laser mode, scanning is possible from a distance of 200 to 400 mm, which facilitates the capture of fine details. Full-Field HD and Hybrid HD modes operate within a range of 250 to 500 mm. The greatest range is offered by VCSEL technology, which allows scanning from a distance of 300 to 800 mm, making it easier to digitize larger objects and human figures.

Ready-to-print models for 3D printing, CAD, and reverse engineering

The device comes with Revo Scan 6 software, which allows you to capture, edit, and export models to popular formats used by professional applications. Support for STL, OBJ, PLY, FBX, GLTF, 3MF, ASC, and SPLAT allows for easy integration of scanned data with CAD programs, design environments, and 3D printing preparation tools. Thanks to its high accuracy and versatility, the POP 4 is used in reverse engineering, product design, quality control, animation, digital content creation, and the documentation of historical monuments.
